Transform your Cybertruck into a home energy source. Gulfstar Electric installs Cybertruck Powershare (V2H) systems — bidirectional charging that lets your truck power your home during outages or peak-rate hours.
Licensed, permitted, and code-compliant installations across Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Bradenton, and the entire Tampa Bay region.
Cybertruck Powershare uses bidirectional charging technology (V2H) to turn your truck's battery into a home energy reserve. Here's how Gulfstar Electric makes it work safely and legally in your Tampa Bay home.
Your Cybertruck connects to a dedicated Powershare-compatible outlet or wall connector installed by Gulfstar Electric. The truck charges normally from your home's electrical panel using Level 2 AC power, storing energy in its 123 kWh (Foundation Series) or 210 kWh (Tri-Motor) battery pack.
When you're ready to export power — during an outage, peak utility hours, or on demand — the Cybertruck's onboard inverter activates bidirectional flow. The truck's DC battery converts energy to 240V AC electricity suitable for home use at up to 11.5 kW continuous output.
A code-compliant automatic transfer switch (ATS) installed by our licensed electricians safely isolates your home from the utility grid before export begins. This anti-islanding protection is mandatory under NEC code and protects utility workers as well as your home's wiring.
With up to 11.5 kW available, the Cybertruck can power essential circuits — HVAC, refrigerator, lighting, medical devices, EV chargers — or your entire home depending on your load profile. During Florida's storm season, this is a valuable backup solution.
When grid power is restored or you choose to stop exporting, the transfer switch seamlessly reconnects your home to utility power. Your Cybertruck resumes charging automatically. Gulfstar programs the system to match your energy preferences and Tesla app settings.
