Gulfstar Electric was founded in 2015 by a team of Florida-licensed master electricians who shared a simple conviction: the shift to electric vehicles and renewable energy would reshape how families and businesses power their lives — and they wanted to be the trusted guide through that transition for Tampa Bay.
What began as a residential electrical contracting firm quickly evolved as our clients began asking the same question: "Can you also install my EV charger?" By 2018 we had built a dedicated EV charging division staffed by factory-trained technicians, and today EV infrastructure forms the cornerstone of everything we do.

Davan Milford
Master Electrician & CEO
The Gulfstar Electric team is led by Davan Milford, Master Electrician and CEO, who has more than 25 years of experience in the field of commercial and residential electrical work.
Davan began as an electrical apprentice in California where he worked his way up, learning the basics of his trade. He then moved to Florida and attended the Bay Area Electrical Apprenticeship Program in Clearwater, Florida. He earned his Journeyman License and began working with local electrical companies until earning his Master Electrician's state electrical license and founded Gulfstar Electric in 2013.
